George’s experience in general management and international development encompasses the engineering & construction, energy (Oil Gaz Power), metals, sectors. 

 

George is the CEO of the Steel Segment of Viohalco SA, comprising leading companies in steel production and recycling with a market presence in more than 50 countries.

George Michos also serves as a member of the Olympia Group Board of Directors as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

​

He previously held leadership positions for 20 years in the cement / construction materials sector in Asia, Europe, and Africa, in global and regional roles. Most recently, he was the CEO of Lafarge Holcim Maroc. George also has professional experience in management consulting (with Bain & Company) and private equity.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and has graduated from the National Technical University of Athens in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
